Thomas Florschuetz
Bodyfigures after 1988
Florschuetz's bodyfigures mark the beginning of his use of color film, made possible by leaving the GDR, where the development of color photography was hardly possible. In 1988 he received an invitation to the Houston Photo Festival, after which he spent a month in New York and then in Paris. He ultimately did not return to the GDR and settled in West-Berlin.
