Zoe Dittrich-Wamser turns the Feature-Room of the Galerie m into an "Achsoistische Kammer" (Achso-istic Chamber; a neologism deriving from the german word "Achso", which can most likely be translated as "I see").
Born in 1993 in Gießen, the artist finished her art-studies in the class of Prof. Franka Hörnschemeyer. Dittrich-Wamser currently lives and works in Düsseldorf.
The Achsoistische Kammer is a place for things and their own order. It´s not a room for working or living, but a place for storing and sorting objects. Thus, materials and their connoted features and functions become indistinct.
In the Achsoistische Kammer Zoe Dittrich-Wamser plays with materialities, their states and conditions by drawing from the beauty of the casualness of everyday objects. For this she combines the unique characteristics of the Feature-Room with her specific method on material appliance, whereby the exhibition room becomes a functional component of the objects.
